Call me parochial
There has been some deaths in the mecca of terror. Some thousand people reportedly died in a flood that swept through Pakistan. And now, they are begging the world for alms, aids and mercy. Those shameless bunch of bastards are expecting those at whose homes they plant bombs and gunmen to run to their aid and help them combat this disaster. Pretty optimistic huh?
And India they say have been late throwing some coins into their bowl. Hell!!! Why should India help Pakistan of all countries? Why? Because they cannot help themselves? Because they cause public unrest in Kashmir? Because they are so busy causing other nations trouble that they have forgotten to build their own infrastructure? Or is it because they send terrorists on a boat to massacre Mumbai? As if these were not enough, they are now reacting like the angry wife shunned by her husband. Pakistan now says we don’t want India’s aid, we’ll wait for UN’s aid.
Well, I am sorry for the dead and their families, but I am not as sorry as I would have liked to be. Honestly, I always have this feeling at the back of my mind that these are the people who silently support their country’s attempt to infest terror everywhere in the world; their business of exporting terror to all the nooks and corners of the world. It is time they moved on with their lives and stop bothering everyone else. And most of all stop bothering India. If they do not have the spine to fight their own disasters and have to beg for others’ alms, they better mend their ways.
Call me parochial if you wish; I’ll take it as a compliment.

When they hate us, and we hate them back in return, is it going to solve anything? No. The hating game will continue, and both countries will end up having ravaged each other. Terrorism is a global problem - not just one of Pakistan. Despite knowing that many Pakistanis possibly (albeit blindly) support “Islamic terrorism” (or “Jihaad” or whatever), I still do not believe that we should turn away from them in their moment distress. We should remember that the goal of terrorists is to achieve a global unrest and an environment of hatred and mistrust. The more we hate them, the more they will be alienated and lean towards the terrorists.

I agree with u Debadeep. But I think the time of Gandhi ji is past. It is no more wise to extend your left cheek after you have been slapped on your right one.

Yes may be its not Gandhiji’s era. But then 1000s of children have lost their homes, 100s of women are starving for days…they neither belong to terror groups nor do they bother about Hindu Muslim strife…Instead of venting out our anger at the age old strife between the countries, we should step forward and just help the ‘flood victims’ and not think about Indians or Pakistanis! But just human beings
